7 early-stage startups from London born in COVID-19

Against the odds during the ongoing pandemic, 195 UK companies raised their first equity investments—inspiring long-term investment during a time when short-term concerns are paramount. Of these, 145 are tech-based startups.

Now, global early-stage venture capital firm Antler has announced to have invested in seven young and ambitious startups during its third UK cohort. The VC firm supports these companies as a part of its mission to enable and invest in aspiring people and define the companies or tomorrow.

While Antler received over 3,000 applications from entrepreneurs to take part in the third UK cohort, the VC firm decided to invest in seven of them across cybersecurity, construction and proptech. They invested £12K in each of these startups depending on the location.

The Antler’s ‘Demo Day’ is an important event wherein the founders present their businesses to local and international investors. This year, owing to the tension caused by COVID-19, the Demo Day will once again be hosted remotely to a global audience of investors, VCs and entrepreneurs. Those who are interested can join the London Demo Day 2 PM on April 15 and the next UK cohort is all set to debut on June 21, 2021.

Ollie Purdue, Partner of Antler London said, “Our third London cohort has made incredible progress. We are delighted to have invested in such a strong group of entrepreneurs, and we are excited to be part of their journey as they grow. The strength of our London cohort is indicative of the London technology industry at large, which has emerged unscathed from the global pandemic, and is driving towards new, unprecedented heights”

Now, without further ado, let’s take a look at the seven companies in Antler’s third UK cohort.
