London fintech Yobota announces appointment of Ion Fratiloiu as Head of Sales

London-based next generation core banking platform – Yobota has just announced the appointment of Ion Fratiloiu as Head of Sales.

Ion’s significant sales experience helped FTSE500 US Fintech company Fiserv during their expansion in Eastern Europe territory.

Before joining Yobota, Ion was a sales director in leading core banking provider Thought Machine. At Thought Machine, Ion was responsible to manage the client’s growth across Central Eastern Europe, the Middle East and expansions into higher-growth Tier 1 banks.

Ion started his banking career at Deutsche Bank and later worked several years for financial market consulting firm, Dealogic in the equity market space.

The appointment of Ion Fratiloiu comes under Yobota’s ambitious growth strategy for 2021. Ion’s role as Head of Sales at Yobota ensures the growth of the fintech platform in new markets. It will seamlessly help financial services and businesses in delivering positive and progressive digital marketing experiences.

Ammar Akhtar, CEO of Yobota, said: “We are very happy to have Ion on board. He joins Yobota at an exciting time: not only are we growing in terms of our client base, but also with regard to our offering and the number of live implementations.”

“Yobota has ambitious goals to make financial services more intelligent, flexible, and always about the customer. Having a dedicated person to win new clients and markets is essential, and Ion brings with him a strong track record, particularly from working with other fintechs. I have no doubts that Ion will make a fast impact on the company.”

Ion added: “I am thrilled to be joining a company whose mission is to drive new standards for the future of digital banking. Yobota already boasts multiple live implementations and customers that rely fully on the core banking platform to run innovative products. Importantly, its unique strength lies in the ability to support multi-brand capabilities and quickly deploy live clients.”

“The flexibility of the Yobota platform opens up a host of new avenues for implementation, and I look forward to seeing how we will continue to change the market. I am confident that Yobota’s mission to deliver seamless and sophisticated customer experiences will be reflected in everything we do.”
